‘Avatar’ Heats Up with Big Golden Globe Win

Here are your winners for the 67th Golden Globe Awards, with Avatar gaining a significant amount of momentum heading into the Oscar nominations later this month with its Best Picture – Drama and Best Director prizes.

Of additional note is The Hurt Locker‘s big shut out as well as quirky little wins for Robert Downey, Jr. in Sherlock Holmes and The Hangover‘s big Best Picture – Comedy/Musical ownage.

The two-woman horse race for the Best Actress Oscar also just got a little tighter with Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep nabbing Globes for their respective categories (their liplock photo above is from the Critics’ Choice Awards a couple of days ago).
