Bryan Singer Returning to ‘X-Men’

ComingSoon.Net reports that director Bryan Singer (X-Men, X-Men 2) is finally returning to the franchise that jolted his career.

After being on hiatus to complete his work on Superman Returns and last year’s Valkyrie with Tom Cruise, he has apparently signed on to direct another origins flick in X-Men: First Class, which tells the stories of Cyclops, Jean Grey and the other mutants at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning.

This is great news for X-Men fans who were appalled with the choice of Brett Ratner as replacement and his execution of the final installment in the trilogy, X-Men: The Last Stand.

No schedule has been reported as of yet.
